Spa and pool winterization services are going to be a bit different. Especially for those of you that are going to want to keep the hot tub up and running through the winter. The different types of equipment are going to need some help holding up. Otherwise, having a cold tub during the winter really doesn’t make much sense. That is going to usually mean that we are going to have to continue the monthly services throughout the year. Still though, since our price range is very decent it should not be too much of a problem for homeowners out there.
Drain & Refill How Often?
This is really going to depend on the type of use that you give your hot tub. The common knowledge states that you should get this done every 3 to 4 months. Again though, if you don’t feel comfortable with the water that is in there for any reason then you can always dump it out. Just a reminder though if your hot tub is working properly then you really shouldn’t have too much trouble with the quality of the water. Since the system is going to clean and filter the water is going to be in the hot tub.
Preventing Freeze Damage
The main problems that people around here are going to want to avoid are freezing issues with their hot tub. When you want to keep the systems functional over the winter it gets a bit tricker. Since you can’t just cover everything up and wait for summer as you do with most pools! One of the easiest ways to prevent freezing damages is actually to keep the spa running. This will prevent freezing in pipes and in the spa itself. You could also winterize the spa, but that is not always the best option out there!
Keeping Dormant Spa Equipment With Water Or Without?
We get this question a lot! People tend to believe that they can lower their maintenance costs by just emptying out the water on the spa. They are not 100% wrong. What we have seen though is that without running water a lot of the facilities tend to wear down a lot quicker. So even if you are not spending money on maintenance at the moment when you do want to use it you are going to have to unload a lot more money on restoration efforts. We would advise that you try and keep it running for most of the year!
What Goes On In Routine Maintenance Services
With spa equipment, we go through a lot of the same things that we would do in pools. Which, is check that all of the systems are running smoothly. It is almost necessary to have water running to confirm that. We are going to check the water quality and make sure that you don’t have any clogged up pipes or anything like that. In most cases, we even check that all of the covers and things like that are A-ok!
