This happens to be a procedure that is a common way to try and restore a pool. There are different reasons as to why you may need to acid wash your pool. Generally, people tend to wait until they really see their pool very worn down. There is a whole debate about that, that we are going to get into later. Where some people say that acid washing your pool can actually cause it to wear down a lot quicker. So they won’t recommend overdoing it. In any case, this is a procedure that you are probably going to have to go through at some point if you have a pool!
Working On A Fully Dry Surface
The first thing that we are going to need to do is obviously drain the pool completely. There is also a debate as to how long you should keep the same water in your pool. Three to four years is what most people would say you should keep the water in your pool for. We really think this number should vary though depending on the type of pool that we are dealing and quite honestly how old it can be!
Sealing Cracks In Cement & Tiles
One of the more interesting parts of this process is that we are going to get the opportunity to tackle all sorts of issues within your pool. That is actually why we are not such huge fans of the 4-year water theory. If the only time that you are going to be actually checking your pool for cracks is every 4 years you are going to allow a lot of them to develop. That is not something that we want. In any case, we will be able to repair and seal a lot of the cracks that are in place at the moment!
Actually Acid Washing
A lot of the things that we talk about in this page can actually be done without necessarily acid washing the pool. The reason that you would want to acid wash the pool is to remove all of the algae and other residues even from the normal products that are used in pools. This process has to be extremely controlled to make sure that no one is going to be coming into contact with the chemicals that are going to be sprayed. When it is done by professionals it's fully safe!
High-Quality Epoxy Paint
In this whole process, the paint jobs and the filling are going to be the most important parts. You want to make sure that you are getting the right type of paint in there. If not you can count on the paint to start to crack really quickly once you fill the pool up. Walking on these pools that are usually painted poorly or with poor paint is really going to be rough on your feet. The whole experience is just going to be ruined. That is obviously not something that we want to have happen. That is why we are extra careful with all of the different chemicals and paints that we use. We can also help you obtain all sorts of high-quality accessories for your pool!
